Support Services at Lowell
Lowell has a variety of on-site professional support services to best address the needs of our students. On-site service professionals and services include:
- Occupational Therapists
- Physical Therapists
- Speech Language Pathologists
- Seattle Public Schools Vision Department, including Braille support services
- Special Education Teachers and Staff supporting Resource, (2) Focus, (2) Distinct, and Medically Fragile Programs
- Special Education Teachers and Staff providing Developmental Preschool programs, including Medically Fragile Preschool and PCIS extended day services
- Head Start Preschool
- 1.0 FTE Social Worker
- 0.8 FTE School Counselor (Tues-Fri)
- 3.6 FTE Interventionist Specialists (Reading and Math)
- 3.0 FTE Multilingual teacher plus 3.6 Multilingual Instructional Assistants
- 1.0 FTE Music Teacher and a 0.2 Instrumental Music Teacher (Wednesdays only)
- 1.0 FTE Physical Education Teacher
- 1.0 Art Teacher
- 0.5 Librarian (Mondays, Fridays, and Wednesday afternoons)
- 0.5 School Psychologist
- 1.0 FTE Family Support Worker
- 2.0 School Nurses
Lowell Food Hub
- The Lowell Food Hub is the first food pantry housed within a Seattle Public School. It is supported by the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods and run by the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle’s Eco District. The pantry provides students and their families access to fresh, frozen, and shelf-stable food. Families are able to shop the pantry space every Monday from 10am-5pm.
