Support Services at Lowell
Lowell has a variety of on-site professional support services to best address the needs of our students. On-site service professionals and services include:
- Occupational Therapists (small or fine motor)
- Physical Therapists (large or gross motor)
- Speech Language Pathology Therapists
- Seattle Public Schools Vision Department
- Resource Room Specialists for students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Special Education Teachers and Staff providing Focus, Distinct, and Medically Fragile Programs
- Special Education Teachers and Staff providing Developmental Preschool programs, including PCIS extended day services
- Head Start Preschool
- 1.0 FTE Social Worker
- 3.0 FTE Interventionist Specialist
- 1.0 FTE English-Language Learners teachers plus Instructional Assistant ELL staff
- 1.0 FTE Music Teacher
- 1.0 FTE Physical Education Teacher
- 1.0 Visual and Tactile Arts Teacher
- School Psychologist, one and one-half day per week
- 1.0 FTE Family Support Worker
- 2.0 School Nurse
Food Pantry
- The Lowell Food Pantry provides weekend meals to students.
- The Lowell Food Pantry delivers food bags to students each Friday.
- The PTA Food Pantry delivers approximately 3,500 bags every year, now with volunteers from our community.
