Dear Families,

As we approach the upcoming state assessment season (grades 3-5), we want to ensure all students are set up for success. Our 3rd-5th grade students will be taking the Smarter Balanced Assessment in Literacy (ELA) and Math and our 5th graders will also be taking the WCAS, a science assessment. To help your child perform their best, we ask for your support in the following ways:

1. Avoid Non-Emergency Absences: Please schedule appointments or vacations outside of the testing window to ensure your child’s consistent attendance.
2. Ensure Restful Sleep: A good night’s sleep is key for focus and performance. Encourage a consistent bedtime routine, especially during testing.
3. Foster a Positive Attitude: Encourage your child to do their best and approach the tests with confidence and persistence.
