On Friday, May 27 Lowell students will move around the field to raise money for their school. The festivities begin at 10 a.m. on the Lowell Field. There are big prizes for most money raised, most laps around the field, an ice cream party for the class who raises the most and drawings just for participating.

    How it Works!

The classes have been divided into two 20-minute time slots during which they will be moving around the field. Each time they pass their designated starting point a volunteer or teacher will mark their running bib. Third, fourth and fifth graders will start on the field at 10 a.m. followed by the kindergarten, first and second graders, and the special ed classes at 10:45 am. After the kids are finished, the whole school will gather to cheer on the teachers and staff of Lowell!

    Parents and Guardians

Parents and Guardians are encouraged to help your student get lap sponsors by talking with co-workers and adult friends that like to support our students on their path to success. Every dollar we raise helps pay for things like teacher's classroom grants, opportunity grants, classroom supplies, school events (culture night, art festival, field day, etc.), the drama program and the music program. All donations to the PALS PTA are 100% tax deductible and many companies will offer corporate matching, so be sure to ask if your sponsor's company has a matching program.

We need volunteers to make this exciting event possible!

    • We need 1-2 people to help cut fruit in the morning at 8:45 am
    • 2 people to help teachers pin the running bibs on the kids before they come out at 9:30 am
    • 4 volunteers to help teachers mark their kids as they lap the field.

Also, we are looking for small items such as books or gift cards as donations for prizes. If you can help out in any way big or small please contact Laura Rosenberg (laurajrosenberg@gmail.com) or Andrea Miller (millergirl0330@gmail.com).
